House Hunting

Today Kirsten and I began looking for our first home together. We began the day around noon and visited around 14 homes within 4 hours. It was a fast paced day that has led to exhaustion, but is going to pay off big. Outside of all the financial concerns and stipulations we found out that this is the time to be a little picky with buying a home. With so many houses on the market right now we have some great options, but after today we have narrowed it down to two choices. We still have Monday to start looking in Leeland, but here are our two choices so far on this side of the bridge here in Wilmington.

Below are some photos from the two options. The top row is one house & on the second row would obviously be the other home. And if you would like, go ahead and take a vote on which house you like best.

*note: you can read a more detailed description of the day and written much better over at my beautiful wife’s blog (http://kirstenrebecca.wordpress.com/2009/10/02/oh-my-gosh/)

House #1 definitely looks cooler. Love the huge deck and screened in porch. Perfect for a hot tub.

Going house-hunting for your first house is a great memory. I hope you find the right one for a great price.

We are wanting House #1 right now as well. Funny you say hot tub, there is another outside fenced it private area that I did not put on there that is perfect for the hot tub. And if we get this $8,000 tax credit in time that has came across our minds :)

Are we going to let fellow bloggers make our decision for us? What a brilliant idea when both parties of a couple are indecisive. ;)

P.S. I love what your comments allow me to do… it recognized my name at once and my picture showed up!

I’m keeping my vote to myself. I can still call your dog Albus when you’re not around, but I can’t whisper sweet things to the house I vote for but that you don’t pick. :)

P.S. Pick the one that’s on the same street as a Carolina Flag

By the way, the last time you took a poll (dog name) you didn’t take your readers advice!

overall, I like the first house, the one thing I like about the second house is the fireplace.

funny you say that, the second has a fake gas fireplace.. but the 1st one had a real wood burning fireplace!
